Archos 70b - Internet Tablet affordable

Yesterday was the premiere of a new tablet  French company Archos . The device is designed primarily for web browsing, and the board will not run out 7-inch screen and Android Honeycomb.

Archos is known in the industry mainly produce various types of tablets at an attractive price. This time the company has set for a device that primarily is used to surf the net and watching movies. Can competition be afraid?

Despite the fact that the manufacturer of the new tablet is measured at a lower shelf price, technical specification looks pretty impressive. In addition to the aforementioned 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024x600, 70b is equipped with a processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. The board also has 8 GB of internal memory, expandable by a further 32 GB with microSD cards. Interestingly a webcam on the front but the rest is standard for this class of devices - WiFi, Bluetooth and HDMI output.

Priced at about $199 70b is designed as a direct competition with models such as the Kindle or Nook Fire Tablet. An important advantage of the new tablet is a full suite of Google applications, as well as a very interesting addition - retractable kickstand. Soon we will see whether the French company manages to snatch a piece of the market segment dominated by large American corporations.
