Motorola Xoom 2 ME - new media tablet

                    Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition is an interesting new tablet with an unusual diagonal. Do you have a chance to succeed in the global market?

                           Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition is the latest tablet offers American giant, which should be regarded as a successful successor to the Xoom. The equipment is robust, compact and well made, so you have a good chance to refer a marketing success. Rather, however, misses the tablets elite co-created the iPad and Prime Transformer. Why?
Appearance and display
                     Xoom 2 ME (Media Edition) is stylistically one of interesting new tablets on the market. The equipment was enclosed in an octagonal, subtly rounded design that really stands out against the dull design competition. The front panel creates a uniform sheet of glass, which was located on the manufacturer's logo and a webcam (1.3 megapixel). Rear view is created by the 5.0 megapixel webcam and a silver metal finish gumopodobnym material. With the latter, the tablet very confident in your hand and slips out of her.

                      All elements of the Xoom 2 ME perfectly matched to each other, so that none of the creaks and bends under the pressure of fingers. One of the main advantages of Motorola's tablet is 8.2-inch screen with a protective layer of Gorilla Glass running at 1280 by 800 pixels. Touch panel ensures proper mapping and color saturation, and yet a normal TFT. This element, like housing, should be evaluated highly, but noted that the intensely reflects light and captures fingerprints.
                         The new Tablet dimensions are 216 by 139 at 8.9 mm and its weight does not exceed 388 grams. With such a compact form, Xoom 2 ME will fit even the smallest and most cluttered bag.

Specifications and Use
                    The gadget is not a treasury of communication ports, but most importantly - headphone jack 3.5 mm, miniHDMI and microUSB 2.0 - it can find. Additionally, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi 802.11 b / g / n and the SIM card slot make the Xoom two real multimedia center. Good impression persists even when the look beneath the proverbial "hood". Tablet is powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, supported by 1 GB of RAM. The manufacturer of private data allocated 16 gigabytes of built space, although the additional memory expansion can be no question, because in the Xoom 2 ME  will appreciate the microSD card slot.

                       Motorola described in many situations running smoothly, but here are cropping system on the agenda. It is not without blame in this case is pre-installed Android 3.2.2 - there is no denying that this is now an aging system and upgrade to the Ice Cream Sandwich all come out for good. It is possible that Android 4.0 on Xoomie 2 ME in the end we'll see, but because of the marriage of Google and Motorola had expected it much sooner.
                      The new Tablet has a built-in battery with a capacity of 3900 mAh, which will allow up to 7-8 hours of stress free surf the Internet. Exceeding the manufacturer's promised 10 hours of battery life does not seem real. It should be noted the relatively short time of a full charge, which enhances the overall mobility of the wider gadget.Summary
                     This equipment is a robust average shelf quality. The gadget is well made, has a decent screen and components, but no pre-installed Android 4.0 and the price at the level of
£329.99  may effectively discourage the purchase. For similar money you can buy third-generation iPad already, so it's hard to say whether Motorola Xoom 2 ME technology conquers the world.
Pros:
+ Solid construction;
+ Compact size;
+ Decent screen;
+ SIM card slot.
The Bad:
- Lack of Android 4.0;
- Lack of microSD slot;
- Inflated price.
